Motion is the closest thing to otoodo on this list, and it is a bigger, more capable product: it does auto-schedule around your capacity, and it does warn you when a deadline is at risk. If you want your calendar actively managed, Motion is the better tool and it is not close. The differences that matter are what it does to your calendar, what it asks of your team, and what it costs.
Choose Motion if…

Motion's model is that your calendar should be the plan. It takes your tasks, their priorities, dependencies, deadlines and durations, and lays them into your day as time blocks — re-planning, in their words, hundreds of times a day as things change. When it thinks a task is at risk it warns you in advance.
otoodo's model is that your calendar is for commitments to other people, and a plan is something you read. It produces a short list for today and a shortfall in hours when a date will not hold, and it never writes to your calendar. Which of those is better is a genuine matter of taste, not a feature gap — some people find automatic calendar management liberating and some find it maddening.
The two differences that are not taste: delegation and price. Motion charges per seat, so planning work for five people means five seats and five people who have to actually use it — which is the point where most small teams quietly stop. otoodo's delegates have their own working hours and no login, so one person plans and nobody else has anything to learn. And at $9 a month against $19–29 a seat, the whole of otoodo costs less than a third of one Motion seat.
